joy of stitching

recent chat with a friend put me in a mood
for stitching again.  i am now back to simple
round round stitching.  this is so fun.
you can experiment on your cloth either
old or new fabric to make sashiko cloth.

if you get tired of round one, you can simply stitch straight line
or something else whatever comes to your mind.

morning garden today

succulent and oregano around juneberry tree

getting ready to do stitching on pure linen
on the corner of my balcony, i through some succulents
and water them.  they seems to be rooted well
and expanded.  i think it was a good experiment
to see if they grow on concrete surface.

mitsuba.  edible herb

white thyme

rosemary
sowed basil seed

late in last fall, i propagated oregano in various location.  adoreble
small leaves were strong enough to survive winter and now they
are growing even more all over in the garden.  i often eat them
in salad, pasta, and pizza.

fish pasta with herbs

❁ good feeling to hear from friend
via email and receiving surprise mail lately.
thank you.

eat flower buds

those mustard didn't grow much for me this time, it
must be the quality of soil being old perhaps,
today, i trimed most of them, ate tip of flower buds,
it was a good addition to sushi dinner.
it was warm mild afternoon,
i sowed basil, buck wheat, flax seed,
hopefully, i will see them germinate
within two weeks or so...
