woke up with headache and tiredness but i wanted to see

pretty flowers as they give me sunshine. i went on foot and

peaked some houses and the garden as i passed by. this house

always have lots of potfull of green and flower. i imagine a

proud grandpa must enjoy his gardenhood and display his work of art

like this on the street. in spring, it will be flowers all over blooming

on these pots and i will enjoy looking at them like last year.

got to the garden center after 30min walk

this afternoon, i made taramosalata

with mashed potato and cod roe and olive oil.

delicious.

and cup of peachy tea made me feel good.

the water on daikon plate was froze too and became ice

so sorry for daikon ....broke the ice and pour some room temp water

sadley, my avo outside was damaged by the ice the other day

i think we all have favorite colors in life

a friend ask me what my favorite is...

mine has always been white ..definitely. but also love blue as much as pure white.

took a walk with little one. he always likes to stop by

the temple on the way and pick some acorns, his shoulder bag

was filled with acorns before we left..but still wanted to pick

tuesday is alyways a long and tiring day standing on my feet

all day. since i've been eating unhealthy lunch like instant

cup noodle often lately, i told myself that i need to

fix something healthier.

here is what i brought for lunch today.

glazed carrots, fried chiken,

garlic stem sauteed with pork,

potato salad, sauteed raddish leaf, roasted cod roe,

and rice and miso-soup and hot green tea

it's not that feminie look but i like wrapping lunch box with

different fabrics (daruma tenugui)

to make lunch time more fun

after work, stopped by the local library and rent some

magazines. i should read more books but l like magazine

with pretty photos. so i rented two and walked home.

it was very dark and cold but felt good walking in the

cool air and moon shines my foot steps all the way

to my house. i was fine.

here is safer place than where i used to live.

now i am home

i was the lady with pink roof but not anymore.

now i am the lady with grey roof. but it might be good because

lots of spring garden ideas flown by my mind lately. this year i would

love to make my garden full of wild flowers and herbs. get out to my

garden every morning. pick some fresh herbs each time i cook.

set up bird feeder by the window. little birds visit my garden and play

little while and when they get full, they might sing a song, then wonder

around between the flower pots while i watch them peacefully

that would be paradise

it is so nice to share some love for gardening with others, i am

patiently waiting to sew the seed from sweden. not sure if they will

do well in my land but will try. here is hans garden.

slice raddish

sprinkle some salt (lightly)

put a small plate over

...then, put heavy pot over the plate

wait for about 15 min or so

you can take a break and have a cup of tea while you wait

after about 15-20min, extra water comes out

squeeze out water and put raddish in a jar

put sweet venegar (venegar + sugar boiled to get

rid of sourness till sugar melt, let it cool) and

hot pepper, yuzu peel

if you don't have them, you can just do with hot pepper if you like hot

i used my yuzu peel that i frozed not too long ago

give it about 4-5 days

but usually i can't help myself wanting to taste after few days

now, you can have a little play time with left over leaf

chopped them up in small pieces

sautee with pecan and sesame seed

salt, pepper, drizzle of soy souce

enjoy fresh vege sautee like this

tomorrow....this makes me even forget about how tired i was
my coworker was shouting that there was snow flurries again during
lunch hour today but i was too busy and missed it...

instead of going far away tomorrow, i would rather stay here

being home and do some cozy things
and go for a walk to see some nature green and find
pretty color's wild flowers maybe
i hope there will be some flurries while i walk

oh, and tomorrow, i might cut more daikon and put them
in the cold air to make some dried one and sautee in olive oil
they taste utterly good
have you try to drying some of your veges?
if not you better try! veges get sweeter and they are delicious
it can even become a good snack for you and your kids..

it was rainy saturday, has been raining for few days now,

my nephew brought me some strawberries this afternoon

cotton yarn i saved for him, he made a very unique rocket

with them and left here for home with his

"sister, your place is jsut like a great atelier! enjoyed coming

summer garden was great that i was able to get fresh leaves

from my own balcony garden, now no basil, thyme, other

herbs...but these are only green left for me to use at the moment

i love using small amount of green from my own garen

today i worked half day, and did some errands

then came home, turn on the stove and made a cup of tea

we laugh together

listen to his story..lots of stories he wants to tell me

i want to be a good listener to him

because i prefer him to enjoy his imagination

rather than following on the text book

went to athletic park together

i let him being a captain cook

oh, he really enjoyed, so did i

wait captain cook! wait for me

mist of rain started dropping in the end

but we finally found the treasure box

even thought i still have some green and flowers luckly left

in my garden, i still miss spring&summer garden

as i was able to out to water them every morning

and say hello to all my plants now it is cold, i water

them only once in a while when the wheather permits,

them i have to come inside to get my feet warm up immediately

so i miss summer garden too but i will enjoy my winter plants too

as they are doing their best to survive this cold months, will try to

at least talk to them and give them some courage so

hopefull they will be smiling when spring comes,

all those garden lover probably feel the same as i do

i really liked this kind of orange fragrance moisture cream

the good fresh fragrance kept me in a good mood all day

now recycling the empty jar for candle holder

perfect size for small candle

sunshine saturday here

blue daisy i bought in the fall and hot pepper

from summer garden still alive

this one, i don't know the name, picked it up from

the wood and planted in my garden last spring

looking down through my living room window is like this

each morning, i check on them

trying to knit for my sister a orange red tote bag

because she liked very beautiful bag we saw the other day

in town but it was too expensive and

i wispered her that i might make one ....

just wispered so it is like a seacret

only santa knows

world is a kind place these days

this really makes my heart warm

can you imagine this many houses in small island

in the evening, each house started putting light on

and by dark, i can see night view from here

small light here and there

i kind of like the night light scene as well

i even fogot about there is such thing "french toast"

all of the sudden it came to me this morning

but no syrup to put on

to replace good syruppy taste, i needed something very good

i put some pear jam and sprinkle of cinnamon

i haven't had this good breakfast for a long time

it was so rich and satisfying taste

where i live, it was 11℃ today and the lowest was 4 ℃ today

i know my place is not as cold as snowy wintery places in northern world

but i live in a very old old building and it is not insulated well at all

in the freezing cold month, i feel like sitting on ice as i sit in my living room

today, i was thinking on the way home from work late at night,

to be honest, i wish this holiday month goes quikly

this time of year is very hard on single person like me

although i enjoy holiday things, when i work late and come home

so late, dark, cold... it is not helping

but at least i have something i enjoy

i will servive somehow

i saw this scene last year too

this is on the way to my grocery store

the man lives few steps from this very sunny place, only few steps!

but his house lose sun spot very early in the afternoon

he then find the best place for his orchid(i think)

it's free spot, no one say anything but to enjoy looking at his

beautiful happy plants

he even made a wooden box ☺

i want that box and also his plants....

soup spaghetti

i spent few hours cleaning up my balcony before

christmas and after few hours being outside.....

got so cold and my feet feel like standing on ice

my off day typical lunch is spaghetti but wanted

some hot soup instead...but still wanted pasta

someday like this, i make soup spaghetti

have you ever had hot soupy spaghetti on cold cold day?

you might like it with any vege and little mashroom or

somekind of tasty addition

and don't forget to sprinkle fresh ground pepper before serving

i love fresh pepper on top

after lunch

cute package was delivered

just wanted to look at it for a long time

however the growing curiousity won in the end

vibeke makes such a lovely tea time poetry in her world

very comfy, cozy place to be if you have a moment

with cup of tea/coffee

i like sunshine and lots of light

during the winter the day light is not bright enough

these days and so short, it started getting dark after 3 or

4..., i need more day time with lots of bright sunshine

but better enjoy this season as we are already

in the middle of the month

trying little bit to put my room in christmas mood

it helps..now something to look at in my room

knitted tote bag

i spent early morning hours trying to finish up my tote bag

but got hungry, steamed sweet potatoes for morning snack

in between, snack time and coffee time included

nm.. feels so good to be fineshed all by hand

knit and sew...

i have made many of this type of bag

each time, when it's finished the thickness from

two yarn knitted together makes it feel so thick and rich

as if rich vanilla and cocoa together

tea break again afterward

with hot milk cocoa

i might name my tote bag as "vanilla cocoa" ☽

do anybody know this?

(this one is not too greasy, mild frangrance which i love,

last long time)

i've used many different kinds of lip balm but

this one i particulary liked it but almost out,

can't find something similar here

i have been in a great crafty moood lately

doing some stiches to finish up knitted tote bag

making this kind of knit bag is probably one of my favorite

it involves in knitting, sewing, hand stiches or embroidery

all combined toghether to make one bag

so fun and exciting to see the final product
